About this independent MW4 guide
This site is an independent reference for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — the game that launched on October 23, 2026. It covers the release date, the campaign, multiplayer, the story and the DMZ in depth. It is not a news site, not a forum, and not affiliated with the people who make the game.
What this site covers
Modern Warfare 4 arrived with three pillars — Campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ — and each one brings its own set of questions. When does the game launch and in my time zone, how long is the campaign and what does it unlock, which modes and maps are in multiplayer, who is the villain, is it on Game Pass. We answer those on their own pages, with the same standard of evidence on each one.
The DMZ is where we go deepest, and that is deliberate rather than accidental. It is the mode with an early access window that opens on its own schedule, a separate level track, 66 Operator traits to catalogue, a Forward Operating Base to unlock and an extraction loop to explain — so the questions that arrive there are specific and technical, and the answers are worth being thorough about.
The other pages follow the same rule. We do not cover mission-by-mission walkthroughs, loadout optimisation, ranked tips, Warzone meta, or general Call of Duty history. If you need those, this is the wrong site.
Who maintains it
This site is maintained by a small independent editorial team. We are players and readers of the mode, not Activision employees, and we do not have access to Activision's internal documentation, code or player data. When we say something is "official", we mean we read it on an Activision or Infinity Ward page — and we say which page.
We are not paid by Activision, and we do not sell game keys, accounts, boosts, cheats, or any service that touches the game client.

This site is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Activision or Infinity Ward. We quote and link to official material for factual purposes, and we do not reproduce game art or assets.
How we work
Every claim on this site carries a grade — official, official-but-relayed, reported, tested by us, or unconfirmed. We publish the grade rather than smoothing it over, so you can tell the difference between something we read on an official page and something a guide site claimed. The full rules are in oureditorial policy.
We also date every page. Facts about a live-service game rot quickly, and a page that does not tell you when it was last checked is not much better than no page at all.
